“Terrifying”: Last Night’s Earthquakes

Last night was terrifying. A 7.8 earthquake struck the region, causing widespread destruction and affecting hundreds of thousands of families. Hundreds of been killed and thousands more are injured. We are experiencing frigid temperatures, unimaginable destruction, and so much loss. 

The lack of safe shelters, assembly points, and essential services only adds to the urgency of the situation. Many families are facing freezing temperatures without access to food, water, and medical care. The earthquake has disrupted the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, and the impact on their daily lives is immeasurable.

We at SARD are committed to working tirelessly to provide aid and support to those in need. Our teams are working hard to rapidly assess the damage and provide emergency support to those who are most affected by the disaster.
